Psalms Book II


Psalms Book II

Summary: The second book of Psalms has a eclectic mix of authors from King David, to a Psalmist, to King Salomon in there words. Songs, poetry and sonnets the mind of many men kings and artist seeking king of kings. Filled with more struggles of the heart this entry is the second of five books. This Covers from Psalm forty-two through seventy-two.

Things I Noticed:

1. Deep calls to deep at the roar of your waterfalls.
2. By day the Lord commands his steadfast love, and at night his song is with me.
3. Rise up; come to our help! Redeem us for the sake of your steadfast love.
4. You are the most handsome of the sons of men (good description of Jesus)
5. There is a river whose stream make glad the city of God.
6. Be still, and know that I am God.
7. Our God comes; he does not keep silence, before him is a devouring fire, around him a mighty tempest.
8. For every beast of the forest is mine, the cattle on a thousand hills. I know all the birds of the hills and all that moves in the field is mine.
9. You thought that I was one like yourself (yeah people mistakes about God like that a lot.)
10. Behold, you delight in truth in the inward being, and you teach me wisdom in the secret heart.
11. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.
12. You have kept count of my tossings; put my tears in your bottle. Are they not in your book?
13. My God in his steadfast love will meet me
14. We went through fire and through water; yet you have brought us out to a place of abundance
15. O God, you know my folly; the wrongs I have done are not hidden from you
16. Let not those who seek you be brought to dishonor through me, O God of Israel
17. Answer me, O Lord, fro your steadfast love is good; according to your abundant mercy turn to me.
18. But I am afflicted and in pain let your salvation, O God, set me on high!
19. But I am poor and needy; hasten to me, Oh God! You are my help and my deliverer; O Lord, do not delay!
20. In your righteousness deliver me and rescue me; incline your ear to me, and save me!
21. Your righteousness, O God, reaches the high heavens. You who have made me see many troubles and calamities will revive me again; from the depths of the earth you will bring me up again. You will increase my greatness and comfort me again.

Been awhile I know but I been getting married so excuse the delay. This book is like a complexed drink filled with many flavors strong and rich. While I dev deep into its embrace I and also walking with Mark and Jesus in his Gospel. So be on the look out for my next post. Till then, Read up, Post up, and Shalom.
