Jude

Jude

Summary: You grow up with the Messiah as a brother. Yep Jude was therewith James as his older brother Jesus went off teaching and healing. By this time in his life he was assure that his brother wise the risen Messiah. Written before II Peter this is letter is a warning against false teachers and a calling to correct false practices that had invaded the body believers. Jude's Jewish heritage and his understanding of his brother's teachings is shown throughout the letter. His reference to the greed of Balaam and wickedness can be seen in the Mishnah and other oral torah. His reference to the Pseudepigraphal book of Enoch show that Jude had studied some. Take a look at and see what I saw.

Things I Noticed:

1. I found it neccesary to write appealing to you to contend for the faith.
2. The angels who did not stay within their own position of authority, but left their proper dwelling, he has kept in eternal chains under gloomy darkness until the judgment of the great day.
3. Yet in like manner these people also, relying on their dreams, defile the flesh.
4. But these people blaspheme all that they do not understand, and they are destroyed by all that they, like unreasoning animals, understand instinctively. Woe to them! For they walked in the way of Cain and abandoned themselves for the sake of gain...
5. It was also about these that Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied. (This is in reference to the Book of Enoch. Its a interesting read to say the least)
6. In the last time there will be scoffers, following their own ungodly passions.
7. But you, beloved build yourselves up in your most holy faith; pray in the Holy Spirit; keep yourselves in the love of God waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ the leads to eternal life.
8. Have mercy on those who doubt; save others by snatching them out of the fire; to others show mercy with fear, despising even garments that are stained by the influence of the fallen flesh.
9. The last verse of is doxology you should read it...

James is walking towards me and I know some of the things he thinks and says are rough and hard to take in I expect a great time with his teaching. Esther will be some time but let me tell you that she is already queen so I will continue with her interesting journey because its meant for such a time as this. Till then, Read up, Post up, and Shalom.
